BIRDLIFE EXHIBITION

In October one of my artworks was accepted into the 2022 Bird Week Exhibition with the theme of 'change'. This exhibition explored how change is impacting Australia's birdlife. It's held in in conjunction with National Bird Week, an event by Birdlife Australia to inspire Australians to become involved in bird conservation.

This annual exhibition is run by Angela Robertson-Buchanan (photographer), Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso from Egg Picnic and Fiona Roderick (Print Maker).

This year, for the first time, the exhibition incorporated a mixed artists' wall featuring 23 artists from various disciplines. I was excited and honoured to be one of the selected exhibiting artists.

20% from all artworks sold during the exhibition was donated to BirdLife Australia. This year the exhibition raised a total of $4,496.

Book Illustration

In June 2022 I was comissioned by a family to illustrate a book for them. They wanted to bring to life a story they had been telling their little ones. This was honestly a dream project. As this was a private commission each of the characters within the book were based on actual family members. Additionally, all of the toys featured were the kids' actual favourite toys. It was so amazing seeing this project come to life and my favourite moment was holding the physical book at the end.
